Role Purpose
Ÿ We are seeking a results-oriented Infrastructure engineer to help perform BAU (incidents and changes) within a Windows based environment and assist the team with migrating our workload from on-prem into the cloud (AWS)
Ÿ The Infrastructure engineer will perform the technical analysis on the migration strategy, make recommendations then follow through with performing the changes within an ITIL framework
Ÿ  
To ensure success as an infrastructure engineer, you should exhibit knowledge of best practices in Windows server management and experience in a similar role. A top-notch infrastructure engineer will be someone whose optimization skills translate into the efficient flow of information and document the process throughout an organization.
 
What we ask of you 
Function Specific
Accountabilities
Ÿ Maintaining and enhancing the performance of existing Wintel server infrastructure. – Active Directory, DNS, IIS, file & print etc
Ÿ Implementation, support and migration of AWS cloud services and associated BAU support
Ÿ Extensive experience in provisioning and managing AWS infrastructure
Ÿ Manage and create cloud formation templates is essential
Ÿ Provisioning Office 365 and Azure services as required
Ÿ Analysing technical requirements to perform migrations from server 2008 to server 2016/2019
Ÿ Migrating legacy (IIS & exchange) workloads from a legacy operating system to a supportable operating system
Ÿ Break/Fix of issues in the Infrastructure support queue
Ÿ Involvement in projects pertaining to provisioning, migrating and creating infrastructure in a hybrid cloud environment
Customer
Ÿ Service all global business units.
Communication
Ÿ Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers and ensure all contact and interactions are of the highest standard (written/phone/face to face)
Ÿ Adhere to SLA’s and regulatory obligations
Ÿ Communicate clearly and appropriately to all stakeholders
 
 
What you’ll bring

experience
Ÿ Bachelor's degree in information systems, information technology, computer science, or similar.
Ÿ Applicable licensing, certification, and registration. (MCSE desirable)
Ÿ A minimum of 10 years' experience in Infrastructure engineering.
Ÿ In-depth knowledge of Wintel Support and Microsoft Technologies
Ÿ Experience with implementation, support and migration of AWS cloud services essential
Ÿ Experience with Office 365 and Azure required
Ÿ Experience in migrating IIS & exchange workloads from a legacy operating system to a supportable operating system is advantageous
Ÿ Sound knowledge of best practices in Infrastructure engineering and data security.
Ÿ ESXi, vSphere knowledge will be an added advantage.
Ÿ Sound experienced on both Exchange 2016 and office 365.
Ÿ Hands on experienced on window patching tool SCCM and WSUS.
Ÿ Good experience on windows VAPT.
Ÿ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ÿ Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Ÿ Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
