You'll work to develop, launch and manage programs and relationships with leading technology companies. Collaborating with l teams we execute on our strategy through four areas; Technology Partnerships, New Product Innovation, Acquisitions and Investments. Our mission is to grow revenue by identifying and building new opportunities with partners to transform and complement Akamai's Cloud (CTG).

Partner with the best

You will have the opportunity to lead and define the strategy for our Business Development team. Collaborating with Sales, Services, and Product teams you will build partnerships to create revenue opportunities for Akamai. As a Director Business Development, you will be responsible for:

• Collaborating with internal cross-functional teams to ensure the success and growth of new and existing partnerships
• Discovering and leading segments or industry verticals of our existing Cloud ISV partner ecosystem
• Guiding and advising our product teams on new product innovation based on collaboration with third party technology
• Hunting for highly strategic new ISV partners that will create meaningful revenue and technical differentiation for Akamai

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have partner development experience with all types of technology companies (large and established to early-stage disruptive startups)
• Have extensive business and technical acumen with Cloud Computing and ISV Ecosystems
• Have the curiosity and drive to learn quickly about new technologies, trends and markets
• Be able to effectively lead collaboration projects across many teams and stakeholders both internally and with partners
• Have the communication skills to effectively present complex information to executive-level audiences
• Demonstrate the ability to manage ambiguity, conflicting ideas and priorities and apply pragmatic decision making

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The On Target Earnings (OTE, base salary + commissions) for this position ranges from $149,500 - $310,500/year; a candidate’s OTE is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
