As Lawyer (Commercial and Technology), you'll provide expert legal advice and support across Endeavour Group's retail and hospitality businesses, focusing on commercial and technology matters. This includes comprehensive contract review and negotiation for areas such as procurement (services, technology, equipment, and goods), supply chain, operations (facilities, format development), manufacturing, and wine production.

You will also play a key role in our strategic transformation program, One Endeavour, as we establish independent IT and business systems. Additionally, you will contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing legal processes and improving business outcomes.

Our team embraces a hybrid working model, currently attending the state based offices on Tuesday and Thursday.

Here is a taste of what you can expect in this role:

• Exciting full time permanent role for a lawyer to join our growing legal team, reporting to a Senior Lawyer (Transition and Support) and led by the General Counsel (Transition, Property, Licensing and Support). 
• This role offers the chance to leverage your legal expertise, business acumen, and commercial insight to provide advice and support across a diverse range of commercial (including technology) matters and strategic projects. The successful candidate will enjoy a high degree of autonomy with the support of a wider legal team.
• Endeavour is preparing to establish independent IT and business systems as it transitions from Woolworths’ platforms, which will require the negotiation and implementation of a range of commercial and technology procurement agreements. This role will be part of the legal team supporting this business critical initiative. 
• The role will require the negotiation and implementation of a raft of commercial agreements and to help Endeavour achieve its strategic objectives. This will require providing both strategic and day-to-day advice on a range of issues including commercial contracting in relation to both commercial and technology procurement.
• The role will predominantly support Group-wide functions including Procurement, Technology, Transformation, Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing and Wine Production, Hotels, our wineries and various corporate functions. 

Now let’s talk about you:

• Degree in law, a legal practising certificate and a minimum of 4 years post admission experience
• Demonstrated success in autonomously drafting, negotiating, and advising on a wide range of commercial and technology-related contracts, including but not limited to:
  • Software as a Service (SaaS) agreements
  • Cloud computing agreements (IaaS, PaaS)
  • IT outsourcing agreements
  • Software licensing agreements
  • Hardware procurement and maintenance agreements
  • Data licensing and sharing agreements
• Experience advising on technology-related regulatory compliance issues.
• In-house experience supporting large-scale IT and business system implementation or separation projects (ideal)
