Job Description:

The QHSE Lead will be responsible for driving, implementing, and maintaining a strong Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) culture across the Service Business Unit and other cross functioning units in Ireland.

This role ensures compliance with all relevant legislation, corporate standards, and customer requirements while fostering continuous improvement across all operational activities. Acting as a key partner to operational and project teams, the QHSE Lead will proactively identify risks, support safe work practices, manage audits and certifications, and lead initiatives that contribute to a zero-harm environment and high service quality.

The role also plays a critical part in supporting our sustainability, ethical business, and ISO management system goals, helping the business meet internal KPIs and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage QHSE activities across service projects and operations in Ireland.

  • Ensure compliance with national legislation, corporate policies, and industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).

  • Conduct site audits, inspections, and risk assessments; support incident investigations and root cause analysis.

  • Coordinate training programs on health, safety, and environmental awareness.

  • Drive continuous improvement in QHSE performance through data analysis, KPI tracking, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Support tender and project documentation related to QHSE requirements.

  • Collaborate with global and regional QHSE teams to align with Hitachi Energy’s sustainability and compliance frameworks.
