Job description

We are seeking an Experienced Perforce Systems Administrator to join our Team in Mindera. In this role, you will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and optimization of our Perforce version control system. You will work closely with developers and other stakeholders to ensure the effective use of Perforce in our development workflows.

You will be tasked with maintaining the overall health of the Perforce environment, managing integrations with other tools, troubleshooting issues, and implementing best practices for version control. You should have a strong background in systems administration, a deep understanding of version control systems, and excellent problem-solving skills.

Expected travelling time: 0%-15%, varies according to project/client.

What you will be doing :)
  • Install, configure, patch and maintain the Perforce server environment and client applications.
  • Install, configure, patch and maintain the Linux operating system on which Perforce is installed.
  • Confident in enterprise deployment and understand replication and failover options.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls within Perforce.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of the Perforce server.
  • Implement Perforce server solutions that align with the company disaster recovery plans.
  • Provide front-line and backend technical support and troubleshooting for all Perforce-related issues.
  • Ensure the integrity and security of source code repositories.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for Perforce administration and usage.

Requirements

Experience we are looking for
  • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, specifically with Perforce version control systems.
  • Strong understanding of version control concepts, branching, merging, and release management.
  • Experience with Perforce environment configuration, performance tuning, and issue resolution.
  • Proficient in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash) for system tasks.
  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration of Perforce with other development tools is a plus.
