Job Summary: The IT Asset Administrator is an important member of our enterprise service management team. The role administers Insulet’s ServiceNow ITAM services. This encompasses Software Asset Management (SAM) and Hardware Asset Management (HAM). The IT Asset Administrator works with stakeholders to understand the needs of the business and maximizes the value of our ITAM services. The IT Asset Administrator also works closely with the ServiceNow Development team to build solutions and enhancements that align with our platform strategies and ServiceNow best practices. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer ServiceNow SAM to track and manage software assets.
  • Continually grow the number of software assets managed by SAM
  • Create reports for software licensing compliance.
  • Monitor software usage and optimize license allocation to reduce costs.
  • Administer the ServiceNow HAM module to track and manage IT assets from procurement to retire.
  • Drive continual improvements to Asset Management
  • Consistently work with stakeholders to understand their needs and create value solutions.
  • Use Agile scrum methodologies to plan improvements and enhancements to the ServiceNow Asset Management modules.
  • Through the scrum processes, work with the Development teams to provide clear requirements and expected outcomes.
  • Own and complete QA/UAT requirements are needed and provide timely feedback and documentation.
  • Generate reports and provide insights on assets to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with IT, procurement, and other departments to ensure accurate asset data and tracking.
  • Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of software and hardware assets to maintain accuracy and compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software and hardware assets within the ServiceNow ITAM modules.
  • Continuously monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in IT asset management to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ year’s experience working in IT Services role preferred
  • 2+ years experience as an Asset administrator/manager preferred
  • Strong knowledge of the ServiceNow ITAM SAM & HAM modules. (or similar products) preferred
  • Understanding of software licensing agreements and compliance requirements preferred
  • Agile scrum knowledge and experience
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • ServiceNow certifications and/or IAITAM certifications are a strong plus.
     
Education:
  • ServiceNow Certification(s) are a plus
  • Agile scrum
  • Bacherlor's degree in Computer Science. Finance or similar field or comparable industry experience is preferred
