Job description

We are looking for a Head of Licensing & Compliance (iGaming) to lead global regulatory strategy and compliance operations within a dynamic, multi-jurisdictional environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Define and lead licensing strategy for global expansion, ensuring timely acquisition, renewal, and maintenance of gaming licenses.
  • Monitor legislative developments, assess regulatory risks, and provide actionable insights to the executive team.
  • Oversee multi-jurisdictional audits, ensuring compliance, timely remediation, and audit-ready operations.
  • Manage direct communication with regulatory authorities, including licence negotiations, official responses, and formal hearings.
  • Supervise technical certification processes with gaming laboratories and sign off on system changes and releases.
  • Develop and implement internal compliance policies across AML, KYC, responsible gaming, data protection and advertising standards.
  • Build and manage a high-performance compliance team, including setting KPIs, managing budgets, and coaching leadership.
  • Report regularly to the board on compliance posture, regulatory risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Lead training initiatives to educate internal teams on evolving regulatory obligations.


Requirements:

  • Licensed lawyer with at least 6 years of experience in gaming licensing and compliance.
  • At least 3-4 years in a senior leadership role within a regulated gaming environment.
  • Proven track record of securing licenses across multiple regions and successfully navigating regulatory audits.
  • In-depth understanding of gaming technology standards, AML/CTF regulations, responsible gaming frameworks and data protection laws.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence regulatory authorities and contribute to policy discussions through industry associations.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills in English; additional language proficiency is a plus.
