Job description

 

The Strategic Projects group is seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Analyst with a strong background in both automated and manual testing to join our team.  The Senior QA Analyst will be responsible for building test cases, conducting testing, and tracking issues during the testing and rollout phases of the project.  This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills who can work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.  

 

Specific responsibilities include: 

 

Automated Testing 

  • Defines, builds, and documents the test automation framework.
  • Develops and executes automated testing scripts to ensure software quality.
  • Maintains and updates testing scripts to accommodate changes in functionality and architecture.
  • Works closely with Project Managers, UX/UI designers, Developers, and Functional Testers. 

 

Manual Testing

  • Represents QA in regular project team meetings.
  • Develops manual test cases and QA plans as part of the full project lifecycle.
  • Performs UI and UX testing on websites and applications.
  • Tests against documented requirements and perform usability and regression testing, completing full end-to-end tests when necessary.
  • Reports bugs and manage their resolution based on severity, priority and impact on delivery dates.
  • Provides feedback and suggestions for product improvements based on manual testing findings.
  • Prepares and presents regular status reports.  

 

Please apply if you meet the following qualifications: 

  • Minimum 5 years of professional work experience as a QA analyst, with a focus on both automation and manual testing
  • Proficiency with automation testing tools like Selenium, Cypress, Cucumber, Playwright, or similar
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Java, or JavaScript
  • Experience with testing enterprise level applications (websites, internal systems, etc.) and testing related to web development experience, including UX and UI 
  • Proven ability to test against business and technical requirements, and produce descriptive, reproducible defect reports and track overall progress toward deliverables
  • Understanding of web and mobile front-end usability and CMS (preferably WordPress) platform testing
  • Ability to run queries in SQL and validate data accuracy
  • Experience working with project tracking systems, like Jira
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and testing methodologies
  • Experience with Accessibility testing, a plus
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and assignments effectively
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal 

 

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $105,000. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to company results.
