 QA Engineer

 

COPE Health Solutions is seeking a QA Engineer with a strong background in web application testing, ideally within healthcare or other highly regulated environments. Our team builds and maintains applications using .NET/Java on the backend and React on the frontend, and we need someone who can help ensure the quality, performance, and compliance of our products.

You’ll work closely with engineers, product owners, and compliance teams to test critical workflows, implement automation, and ensure our software meets both functional and regulatory standards.

Position Description:

  • Design, write, and execute manual and automated tests for web applications built in .NET/Java and React.
  • Collaborate with developers and product owners to define acceptance criteria and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • As we grow, build and maintain test automation frameworks for UI (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium) and API testing (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).
  • Test healthcare-specific workflows for accuracy, data integrity, and compliance with regulations (HIPAA, HiTrust).
  • Perform regression, integration, and performance testing as part of the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Participate in code and test case reviews, providing feedback to improve quality practices.
  • Create and maintain detailed, traceable test documentation (test plans, test cases, defect reports).
  • Track, report, and manage bugs through tools like JIRA, or similar.
  • Support UAT efforts and help troubleshoot production issues when they arise.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in software QA, with a focus on web application testing.
  • Solid experience testing applications built with .NET/Java and React or other JavaScript frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing types, and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation tools for UI and API testing.
  • Familiarity with SQL and ability to validate data across backend systems.
  • Experience working in regulated environments (preferably healthcare) and understanding of HIPAA or HiTrust compliance.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Experience with version control and CI/CD tooling (e.g. Azure DevOps).

 

Preferred:

  • Experience with performance/load testing tools (e.g., k6, JMeter).
  • Hands on experience leveraging AI tools to improve efficiencies in the QA process.
  • Familiarity with accessibility testing (WCAG, screen readers).
  • Exposure to infrastructure and deployment testing in Azure environments.
  • ISTQB or other QA-related certification.
