Position Summary

As the Senior Business Development Director, you will pursue strategic business development objectives for new and existing accounts primarily within our Neuromodulation and Interventional product portfolios. The Senior Business Develop Director will also interface and work cross-functionally with Portfolio leaders, Account Management and Application Management Teams, and engage with customers to position and sell Heraeus Medevio products and services. The role is pivotal to shaping the company's future pipeline and achieving long-term revenue and profitability goals.

 

Your Role and Responsibilities: 

  • Market Understanding: Actively maintain understanding of industry, market, product and competitor developments and trends
  • Market Positioning: Identify customer needs to drive competitive quotes and proposals, aligned with Heraeus Medevio's strategic objectives
  • Customer Engagement: Develop and cultivate strategic relationships with new and existing customers to identify and incubate new business opportunities
  • Relationship Building: Establish strong relationships with decision-makers in underpenetrated businesses of Tier 1-2 customers, as well as new customers, to drive strategic partnerships.
  • Commercial Negotiations: Lead commercial negotiations to close new business opportunities, ensuring favorable terms and conditions
  • Pipeline Management: Develop and document a robust sales pipeline (using Salesforce CRM), ensuring transparency and strategic foresight
  • Industry Presence: Represent Heraeus Medevio at trade shows, conferences, and other events, promoting the company's vision and expanding its market footprint (up to 75% travel)
  • Pricing Strategy: Leverage financial guidelines to negotiate pricing, aiming to maximize profitability while maintaining competitive edge
  • Project Leadership: Provide strategic support to Heraeus project and engineering teams on new initiatives, ensuring alignment with business development goals
  • Operational Excellence: Collaborate with R&D and Operations to resolve complex customer-related issues to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

What is Required for This Role: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required
  • Minimum 15 years of business development experience, preferably with experience in selling neuromodulation and/or interventional components, assembly or devices, or direct experience selling design and development services to the medical device industry
  • Strong understanding of medical device design and manufacturing processes
  • Highly motivated and able to develop relationships at all levels 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Proven ability to map out customers, organizations, products, and future development roadmap
  • Proven ability to influence externally and internally and to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Demonstrated expertise in strategic negotiations, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and problem-solving acumen

 

Medevio is committed to providing competitive total compensation and benefits packages. The expected hiring range for this position is between $160,000 and $200,000based upon a full-time schedule. This is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. Base salaries are determined by taking a variety of factors in account, including, but not limited to, candidate qualifications, geographic locations, market conditions and internal equity. This position is bonus eligible, with a target bonus of 30% of base salary. Our total compensation package includes eligibility for comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan with company match, education reimbursement, paid parental leave and paid time off.
