Position Overview: Nationwide is seeking an experienced professional with a potential opportunity to provide all activities related to the administration of database schemas and their objects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform database programming and support systems design.
Project long-range requirements for database schema administration and design in conjunction with Infrastructure DBAs in the information systems function.
Designs, creates, and maintains database schemas in a client/server environment.
Conducts quality control and auditing of database schemas in a client/server environment to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data and permissions
Advises users on access to various client/server databases.
Design, implement, and maintain complex database schema objects concerning user requirements, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods.
Apply knowledge and experience with database technologies, development methodologies, and front-end programming languages (e.g., SQL).
Qualifications:
Five (5) years of progressive experience with database query languages such as Oracle, PL SQL, SQL Server, and MS Access.
At least three years’ hands-on experience and expertise in Database Schema management.
Experience also shall include the ability to work on various operating systems and additional programming languages.
Experience in at least two projects in a large organization responsible for administering, operating, maintaining, and securing a large-scale computer database.
Must possess (Formerly IT-II) Non-Critical Sensitive security clearance and Tier 3 investigation (T3) at time of proposal submission.
Requirements:
IAT Level II or 8140.03 equivalent certification(s)
MongoDB Certified DBA
