What You’ll Do

Lead development of scalable backend services using PHP Laravel

Contribute to architecture decisions and code reviews

Collaborate cross-functionally with product, AI, and design teams

Mentor junior developers and help grow our engineering capability

Develop and integrate AI-enhanced features to support decision-making and automation

Manage code quality, security, and maintainability through best practices

Actively participate in product discovery and roadmap planning

Contribute to DevOps processes including CI/CD and cloud infrastructure

Must Have

You’ll Be a Great Fit If You Have:

5+ years of PHP development experience

3+ years with Laravel (v8 and above)

Strong understanding of REST APIs, queues, and event-driven architecture

Experience with SQL databases (MSSQL, MySQL or PostgreSQL)

Familiarity with containerisation (Docker) and deployment practices

Passion for clean, maintainable code and agile methodologies

Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset

Interest in working on AI-driven product innovation

Nice To Have

Experience with Vue.js or React

Knowledge of AI/ML integration with Laravel

Exposure to AWS services

Previous work in health, NDIS or aged care tech (nice to have)

Experience in SaaS platforms with rapid scaling
