About the Role

Rula is seeking a Patient Billing AR Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Financial Operations Manager, this role will oversee the onshore billing team, manage the offshore billing vendors, and ensure seamless patient billing processes and systems. This individual will be responsible for execution of billing and collections operations and continuous process improvement as Rula continues to scale.

This role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, strategic thinking, analytical work, and a customer centric personality. Ideal candidates will have experience in healthcare payer operations and revenue cycle management, and be comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced environments with evolving priorities. Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in revenue cycle and/or strategy consulting, leading end-to-end transformation (process, technology, and people)

  • Expertise building processes and utilizing tools to drive optimization and efficiency

  • Proficiency leveraging data analytical tools (i.e. SQL, Excel/GSheets, Looker) to inform decision making and performance updates

  • Skillfulness in applying structure, cross-functional partnership, prioritization, and effective communication to solve complex problems across the organization 

  • Experience in writing deliverables (i.e. technical requirements, project plans/updates, experiment results, and/or strategy documents) that are clear and concise for all audiences technical and non-technical

  • Experience working in an AR (Accounts Receivable) function

  • Experience in a startup and/or healthcare environment

  • General knowledge of payer/insurance landscape, particularly reviewing and implementing requirements for healthcare payer contracts

  • Technical savviness with tools such as Salesforce, ZenDesk, AdvancedMD/EHR, Availity, or similar platforms to spearhead continuous improvement
