Location: UK Remote

Salary: £31,500 base + sales incentive plan

About the Role

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) plays a crucial role in driving PSI’s business growth by identifying, qualifying, and generating new business opportunities. This role is responsible for engaging with prospective clients, conducting outbound prospecting, and supporting the sales pipeline to accelerate revenue growth. The SDR collaborates closely with the sales, marketing, and account-based marketing (ABM) teams to execute strategic outreach initiatives, ensuring seamless lead generation and nurturing.

As part of the Commercial team, this role reports to the Account Based Marketing Lead and requires a proactive, results-oriented mindset with a passion for building strong relationships with potential clients. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

This is a permanent, full-time role with flexible working options, though core availability during Monday-Friday office hours is required. Occasional travel may be necessary for industry events and client meetings.

Role Responsibilities
  • Prospecting & Lead Generation: Conducts outbound prospecting activities, including cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach, to identify potential clients.
  • Qualifying Leads: Engages with inbound and outbound leads to assess needs, identify decision-makers, and determine sales potential.
  • Sales Pipeline Support: Maintains and manages a structured pipeline of qualified opportunities to support revenue goals.
  • Collaboration with Sales, Marketing, & ABM Teams: Works closely with the sales, marketing, and account-based marketing teams to align prospecting efforts with targeted campaigns and business objectives.
  • CRM Management: Accurately records and updates prospect interactions in the customer relationship management (CRM) system.
  • Appointment Setting: Schedules discovery calls and meetings for the sales team with qualified prospects.
  • Industry Research: Stays informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and market developments to refine outreach strategies.
  • Follow-up & Nurturing: Engages in ongoing follow-ups with potential customers to nurture leads and build relationships.
  • Performance Tracking: Measures and reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess effectiveness and refine strategies.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience in sales development, lead generation, or business development within a B2B environment, preferably in education, certification, or assessment industries.
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related fields.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and build relationships with prospective clients.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales engagement tools.
  • Experience with cold calling, email outreach, and LinkedIn prospecting.
  • Familiarity with account-based marketing principles and collaboration with ABM teams.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working in a target-driven
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong research and analytical skills to identify and understand prospect needs.
  • A team player with the ability to collaborate across departments and support business objectives.
