What are we looking for?

The Compliance Analyst I performs compliance activities in support of obtaining and maintaining licenses and certifications for business operations as outlined below.

Where you will have an impact

  • Obtain and maintain all licenses necessary to carry out the organization’s business activities including, but not limited to, utilization review, third party administration, insurance producer and preferred provider organization licenses and network adequacy reports.
  • Create custom reports, track, monitor, audit and prioritize distribution of licensing requests to business owners.
  • Identify licensing compliance issues and risks, escalate and formally report potential non-compliance violations.
  • Effectively communicate licensing compliance policies and practices to internal business teams.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the Director on new business licensure initiatives and regulatory research.
  • Support coordination, tracking and development of licensing and compliance projects.
  • Liaise with various state departments of insurance and regulatory agencies to obtain clarification regarding licensing regulatory requirements and submissions.
  • Collaborate and foster relationships with internal business associates and become a value-added partner.
  • Proactively participate in developing cross-functional knowledge of business operations.
  • Assume additional clerical and administrative duties and responsibilities, as needed or directed.

What’s necessary to do the job?

  • Preferred bachelor’s degree in managed care, business, healthcare administration or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • One (1) year of related experience interpreting and performing regulatory research
  • One (1) to two (2) years of compliance and/or licensing experience in insurance, managed care, vision care industry or health setting preferred
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations affecting insurance products preferred
  • Proficiency in MicroSoft Office and computer experience
