Job description

Title: Salesforce Data Cloud Architect

Location: Remote
Duration: Long Term Contract
 
Responsibilities:
  • Architectural Vision & Strategy: Define and articulate the overall architecture and technical vision for the Salesforce Data Cloud platform, aligning with business objectives and data strategy.
  • Solution Design & Implementation: Lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance data models, data ingestion pipelines, identity resolution strategies, segmentation rules, and activation workflows within Salesforce Data Cloud.
  • Data Integration Expertise: Architect and oversee the integration of data from various source systems (Salesforce clouds, enterprise applications, external data sources) into Salesforce Data Cloud using appropriate integration patterns and tools (e.g., MuleSoft, ETL/ELT tools, APIs).
  • Identity Resolution & Data Unification: Design and implement robust identity resolution strategies to create a unified customer view within Salesforce Data Cloud, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Segmentation & Activation: Define and implement advanced segmentation strategies and activation workflows to enable personalized marketing, sales, and service experiences across different channels.
  • Data Governance & Security: Establish and enforce data governance policies, data quality standards, and security protocols within the Salesforce Data Cloud environment, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Performance Optimization & Scalability: Design the architecture with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability to handle large volumes of data and evolving business needs.
  • Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, data engineers, and other stakeholders involved in the Salesforce Data Cloud implementation. Mentor junior architects and engineers.
  • Best Practices & Standards: Define and promote best practices, coding standards, and architectural patterns for Salesforce Data Cloud development and integration.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with Salesforce and other relevant vendors on technical aspects of the platform.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive architectural diagrams, design documents, and technical specifications.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of the latest Salesforce Data Cloud features, capabilities, and industry trends.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise architecture roles.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing solutions on the Salesforce platform, with a deep focus on Salesforce Data Cloud (formerly CDP).
  • Proven expertise in data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Strong understanding of data integration patterns and experience with various integration tools and technologies (e.g., MuleSoft, Informatica, Talend, APIs).
  • Deep understanding of identity resolution techniques and strategies.
  • Experience in designing and implementing segmentation and activation workflows for personalized customer experiences.
  • Solid understanding of data governance principles, data quality management, and data security best practices.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms and technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and guide technical teams.
  • Salesforce certifications related to Data Cloud (e.g., Salesforce Certified Data Cloud Consultant) are highly desirable.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • · Experience with AI/ML concepts and their application within a CDP environment.
  • · Familiarity with other Salesforce clouds (e.g., Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud).
  • · Experience with real-time data streaming and processing.
  • · Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in relevant technical communities.
