Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing Product and Operations, , the Marketing Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in improving processes and execution across the marketing team by ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment with business goals.This role will be responsible for leading the coordination of Marketing communication plans across functions, aligning resources to priorities, tracking and measuring Marketing outputs and identifying and executing on improvement opportunities. Additionally, this role will lead planning and execution for Marketing meetings like town halls and creative reviews, and improve key tools that make onboarding and collaboration more effective.  This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership, influencing and communication skills,  a deep understanding of marketing principles and best practices, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. An ideal candidate is someone who can simplify the complex and craft compelling stories, has high attention to detail, and can manage through ambiguity.

  • Marketing ROI: Support Marketing to meet annual revenue and margin goals by Maximizing revenue by customer segment / business, and improving Marketing output per employee.

  • Project delivery deadlines are met.

  • People: Retention / Engagement / Enablement

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Budget Management: Oversee the marketing budget for North America, ensuring effective allocation and optimization of resources. Develop detailed budget plans, track expenditures, synergy delivery and provide regular updates to the CMO. Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend adjustments to maximize ROI.

  • Monthly Reporting: Prepare comprehensive and insightful reports on marketing budgets and support communications on performance for North America in conjunction with the Business Insights and Digital Marketing teams. Analyze key metrics, track progress against targets, and identify areas for improvement. Present findings to key stakeholders, providing actionable recommendations to optimize marketing strategies.

  • Campaign/ Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate closely across the marketing function to ensure alignment and integration of marketing efforts. Foster strong working relationships and coordinate cross-functional projects to drive synergy, minimize duplication and maximize results.

  • Support Efficiencies: Create and improve marketing processes to address gaps and improve the quality of output and success metrics. Partner with Marketing Technology to determine optimal systems to support Marketing efficiencies and tracking.

  • Leadership: Provide effective leadership in a matrix model across the marketing operations activities, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement. Identify and address skill gaps through training and professional development initiatives.

Required Experience

  • Ability to foster excellent relationships internally and externally.

  • Experience of a previous business integration and work on transformation, development of new processes, roles & responsibilities and securing C-suite buy in for proposals.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on marketing planning, strategy, and budget management.

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing strategies in a complex, multi-channel environment.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.

  • Proficiency in marketing analytics tools and technologies.

  • Knowledge of North American market dynamics, consumer behavior, and industry trends.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Strong presentation skills are required.

  • Must possess superior verbal and written communication skills.  

  • Excellent organizational skills with a heightened sense of attention to detail are key characteristics of the perfect candidate. 

  • Strong interpersonal skills that allow for healthy internal and external relationships are a must.

  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strong understanding of corporate marketing  and influencing key financial performance indicators including content strategies, marketing, performance analysis and digital content.

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills with the ability to operate effectively both strategically and operationally as required. 

  • Outstanding communication skills with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels with a range of internal and external stakeholders including customers, employees, trade unions, investors, analysts, regulators, government bodies and suppliers as required.

  • Able to demonstrate high levels of drive, work ethic and personal accountability with the ability to work under pressure while maintaining sound judgement and a rigorous focus on the details.  

Formal Education, Qualifications or Training

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in business administration, commercial or Marketing preferred. 

Base Pay Range $84,300-109,600 USD Annual / year.

While starting pay falls within the given range, it can vary based on factors like geographic location, skills, education, and experience. Total earnings may also be affected by overtime, incentives, commissions, performance, and route assignment (where applicable).
