As we scale our Public Sector practice, we're seeking proven experts to help shape and deliver innovative, compliant cloud-based solutions using Salesforce Public Sector Cloud.

Our Public Sector Cloud Solution Architect (Contract) will bring deep expertise in Salesforce Public Sector Cloud to lead both pre-sales and delivery efforts across government accounts. You will be responsible for translating mission needs into compliant, scalable cloud solutions while supporting technical strategy during RFx pursuits. This role is critical to ensuring Thunder’s federal and SLED solutions are grounded in best practices and aligned with Salesforce’s industry strategy.

    • Craft compliant, compelling technical narratives and system architectures tailored to mission outcomes.
    • Translate solicitation requirements into Salesforce-aligned capabilities, including use of OmniStudio, Public Sector Case Management, and Licensing/Permitting apps.
    • Develop LOEs, resource plans, and solution architectures in partnership with delivery and proposal teams.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience designing Salesforce solutions; 3+ years working on public sector projects (Federal, State, or Local).
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience architecting solutions with Salesforce Public Sector Cloud, including recent projects with OmniStudio and related components.
  • Prior experience supporting government contractors, SIs, or direct Salesforce Public Sector customers a plus!
  • Proven ability to lead technical strategy for RFI/RFP responses, including compliance mapping and solution narrative development.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Salesforce Certified Application Architect, System Architect, or Public Sector Solutions Accreditation. (preferred)
  • Experience with Salesforce integrations (e.g., Mulesoft, legacy systems). (preferred)
  • Background in Licensing/Permitting, Case Management, or Benefit Eligibility scenarios. (preferred)

**Please note: This role is currently structured as a contract opportunity and not a full-time employee position. As such, it does not include Thunder’s full-time benefits (such as health coverage, PTO, or retirement plans). You’ll be engaged as an independent contractor and responsible for managing your own taxes, insurance, and availability. In the meantime, we ask that any other commitments don’t impact your ability to fully support this position. We encourage you to bring any questions about the contractor terms to your Talent Screen — and we're always happy to explore longer-term opportunities for great team members!

U.S. citizens and those authorized to work in the US are encouraged to apply.
