Director of Strategic Partnerships
In this role you will architect and lead strategic partnerships between Natcast and premier research institutions, forging collaborations that accelerate America's semiconductor innovation ecosystem through the National Semiconductor Technology Center (NSTC).

The Director of Strategic Partnerships drives Natcast's engagement with key research institutions, creating collaborative frameworks that accelerate semiconductor innovation. This role is central to building the robust ecosystem needed to advance U.S. semiconductor capabilities through strategic partnerships with National Laboratories, research consortia, and global semiconductor institutions.
Responsibilities:
Partnership Development and Management:
Design and implement strategic partnership framework for research institutions
Lead engagement with National Laboratories and Department of Energy
Develop collaborations with organizations like IMEC, SIA, and Semiconductor Research Corporation
Create partnership models that leverage complementary capabilities
Establish governance structures for research collaborations
Research Ecosystem Development:
Identify and evaluate partnership opportunities across the semiconductor ecosystem
Coordinate joint research initiatives and technology transfer programs
Foster knowledge sharing and best practice exchange
Drive collaborative innovation programs across institutions
Facilitate access to specialized research facilities and capabilities
Strategic Planning and Execution:
Develop comprehensive partnership strategy aligned with NSTC mission
Create roadmaps for institutional collaboration and resource sharing
Design metrics for partnership effectiveness and impact
Lead partnership budget planning and resource allocation
Ensure alignment between partnerships and CHIPS Act objectives
Identify Natcast revenue opportunities
Stakeholder Management:
Build and maintain executive relationships across partner institutions
Coordinate cross-functional teams for partnership initiatives
Represent Natcast in semiconductor research forums
Drive communication strategies for partnership activities
Manage complex stakeholder expectations and priorities
Establish unified channel within Natcast for engagement with partner institutions
Required Skills and Experience:
Advanced degree in Engineering, Physics, or related technical field
12+ years experience in semiconductor industry or research institutions
Proven track record building institutional partnerships
Deep understanding of semiconductor R&D ecosystem
Experience working with National Laboratories
Strong knowledge of semiconductor technology roadmaps
Excellence in stakeholder management
Outstanding strategic planning capabilities
Superior communication and presentation skills
Preferred Skills and Experience:
PhD in relevant technical field
Experience with CHIPS Act implementation
Background in research program management
International partnership experience
Publication record in semiconductor field
