Job Summary
As part of a regional payroll team, this role is responsible for effective execution of payroll operations for assigned entities, supporting effective and accurate payroll time and data collection, review, calculations, and disbursements while ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of payroll reporting. This role partners with third parties to ensure optimal vendor performance, driving standardization and efficient processes, and collaboratively working with internal stakeholders in developing and maintaining trusted partnerships.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
Apply specialist knowledge and skills required to support end-to-end payroll activities such as the collection, review, analysis, and balancing controls of full-cycle payroll related data sources for all levels of the organization, across all locations and across multiple time zones.
Maintain T & A systems in accordance with company policy and statutory requirements.
Support equity processing, cross-border payments and fringe benefits, secondments, and shadow payrolls in accordance with multi-jurisdiction tax regulations.
Close collaboration with third party providers, local authorities related to reporting and filing of declarations, certifications, and ability to discern complicated instructions.
Support Tier 3 payroll inquiries, navigate complex situations by recognizing problematic areas, and take ownership of communications through timely resolution.
Continuous evaluation, improvement, and maintenance of existing work processes by implementing lean methodology to ensure most effective use of resources and drive operation excellence.
Build and nurture strong working relationships with all levels across the organization, 3rd party providers, and others to resolve issues and drive process improvements.
Assist with testing new payroll earnings, deductions, accruals, and other new programs in test environment.
Establish and actively support proper governance of payroll data, time and attendance, record keeping and internal controls to ensure an audit-ready environment.
Provide business continuity training for team members and ensure documentation is clear, accessible and audit ready.
Support internal and external audits, as well as annual SOC reviews of third-party vendors.

Preferred Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent/related.
5 years of experience in Payroll, Payroll Accounting or HR Information Systems with a strong focus on Australia & New Zealand payroll. Expertise includes hands-on payroll processing, execution, and in-depth knowledge of local labor laws and statutory requirements.
SAP Payroll experience, ADP GlobalView / Celergo preferred
Regional experience handling payroll on a virtual, multi-national teams across multiple APAC countries is a plus.
Working experience with SuccessFactors EC, integrations to multiple payroll platforms such as ADP GlobalView / ADP Celergo or SAP Payroll is preferrable.
Experience working in Global Business Services (GBS) or Shared Services Center (SSC) environments with regional exposure across APAC markets is highly desirable. With strong understanding of standardized payroll operation, process optimization and service delivery models.
Payroll certification such as FPC, CPP, CIPP, or similar are preferred.
