Job description

Company Overview:

Our client is a U.S.-based SaaS company helping real estate teams run inspections more efficiently. Their platform processes photos, videos, and voice notes captured in the field—even offline—and turns them into structured inspection reports with the help of a built-in AI assistant.

Live since 2014 and used in 20+ countries, they’ve already processed over 100 million inspection photos and support more than 20,000 active users.

The next phase of work focuses on backend scale, deeper API integrations, and infrastructure improvements—backed by a small, senior team.

Your Role:

This role starts with integrations and grows into broader backend ownership. You’ll work on systems that move critical inspection and property data between platforms—and improve how everything runs behind the scenes.

You’ll:

  • Develop backend services and APIs, primarily using Python
  • Quickly prototype, develop, and release new product features.
  • Develop two-way sync with external platforms
  • Handle schema differences, retries, and offline merge logic using queues (RabbitMQ)
  • Collaborate with 4 experienced LATAM engineers and a technical founder/CTO
  • Help optimize data storage and real-time data processing systems.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and quality improvements.

You Bring:

  • 5-8 years of backend development experience.
  • Experience developing APIs (RESTful, GraphQL, or gRPC).
  • Comfortable with relational databases (like PostgreSQL or MySQL) and some experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis).
  • Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • A proactive, flexible, startup mindset—comfortable with rapid changes.
  • Good problem-solving skills and clear communication in English.

Bonus Points:
    • Experience in a product-focused team or fast-paced startup
    • Worked with multi-tenant SaaS or media-heavy systems
    • Helped improve code reliability, performance, or internal tooling
    • You’ve owned API integrations from design through deployment and monitoring
    • Comfortable supporting AI-powered workflows or offline-first apps
