Title: Sr. Software Dec Engineer – Backend Engineer
Location: Remote (US)
Duration: 12 Months

• As a back-end developer, you'll work with a team of talented engineers to design and build scalable, efficient systems that deliver real-time sports data, personalized experiences, and engaging fan interactions used by millions worldwide. Overview of the team:
• The team currently consists of 3 talented engineers who are focusing on building enriching user experiences using AI technology within the field of sports.
Key team goals:
• Build and launch product driven enhanced user experiences within Sports and Fantasy products to positively impact metrics like revenue, DAU, mins spent, page views etc...
Responsibilities & Expectations
Primary responsibilities (daily/weekly):
• Collaborate with product and/or rest of the team on ideation, planning and timely execution of roadmap to accomplish the goals mentioned in section 1.
• Since the team works remotely, I am looking for developers who can think and execute independently and have really good communication skills.
Key projects or initiatives for the role:
• Sports taxonomy based content enrichments
• AI initiatives around Fantasy product
• Personalization of content and data

• Timely and quality deliverables on roadmap items

Candidate Profile
• Must-have skills/qualifications (technical, soft skills, certifications, tools):
• At least 4+ years of Python development experience, including building and supporting user-facing web products (more experience for IC4 role)
• At least 4+ years of experience with server-side API programming focusing on scalable, high-performance web services (more experience for IC4 role)
• Strong fundamentals in object-oriented design, design patterns, data structures, algorithm design, and problem-solving
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and AWS infrastructure
• Commitment to well-designed, well-documented code
• BS in Computer Science or Engineering
• Self-motivated, well-organized team player
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Exposure to AI is a must. Experience or expertise in AI development (or working on an AI based product) is a strong plus.

Recruitment & Logistics
Hiring timeline and deadlines:

• Asap (As one of the engineers is going on a paternity leave and we need 3+ engineering team to deliver on identified roadmap items)
• Interview process (who, how many rounds):
o 3 rounds
o Manager will do one round (half technical and half behavioral fit). Rest 2 rounds will be handled by 2 developers (technical rounds).
• Location and remote work options:
o Any other location works as long as engineers can keep time overlap between 9 am PT - 2:30/3 pm PT.
o Good with Remote work as we are relying on ownership and accountability
• Time zone preferences or travel requirements:
o Looking for time overlap between 9 am PT - 2:30/3 pm PT
o No travel needed
