At The/Studio, our vision is to empower individuals, regardless of their expertise, to unleash their creativity and bring their unique ideas to life through the production of custom products. We are committed to delivering top-quality customized products that not only exceed expectations but also provide a seamless and awe-inspiring experience via our exceptional team and AI-integrated systems. By shouldering the manufacturing burdens, we liberate our customers to focus on their true passions, driving them towards remarkable success and fulfillment. Together, we turn dreams into tangible realities and shape a world where creativity knows no bounds.

Our headquarters are in Los Angeles, California, but we are a truly global company with team-members across the U.S., Europe, South America, Africa, and Asia/Pacific. We have gone to a fully remote working platform so that we can attract the world’s best talent.

All roles at The/Studio are 100% remote from anywhere in the world, as long as you have all your tools and a fast, stable internet connection!

We know that some applicants will not meet all the requirements, so we encourage you to apply anyway so we can determine if something else might be a good fit!

💻 The Role

We are seeking a Business Development Representative (Factories) to join our team! In this role, your primary focus will be on identifying, qualifying, and onboarding factory partners—particularly in South America and other regions as determined by leadership. You’ll play a critical role in expanding our global manufacturing network to support The/Studio’s growing custom product operations.

You’ll work closely with our Supply Chain, Product, and Operations teams to help scale our factory partnerships through proactive outreach and relationship-building. This is a highly hands-on, research- and outreach-heavy role with real impact on our global production capabilities.

What You’ll Do:

In this role you’ll:

  • Identify and source high-potential factories that align with The/Studio’s quality, compliance, and production standards

  • Conduct outbound prospecting—including cold outreach, supplier platform research, and industry networking—to locate and qualify factory partners

  • Build a pipeline of factory prospects, ensuring proper follow-up and documentation

  • Collaborate with the Product and Operations teams to vet, onboard, and assess factories for specific categories or customer requirements

  • Maintain accurate records of outreach, negotiations, and onboarding steps in our CRM and internal tracking tools

  • Evaluate and communicate factory capabilities, certifications, pricing, and reliability

  • Coordinate and schedule calls between factory contacts and internal stakeholders for further vetting

  • Help improve and streamline sourcing processes and tools as we scale

Within 1 month you'll:

  • Learn how The/Studio’s sourcing model works

  • Understand what makes a qualified factory and how to identify red flags

  • Begin filtering through existing factory databases and outbound channels to generate your first qualified leads

Within 3 months you'll be:

  • Build a healthy pipeline of active factory prospects

  • Start closing strong factory partnerships that support our product and quality needs

  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams and contribute ideas to improve factory outreach

Within 6 months:

  • Develop deep insight into factory performance metrics and how they impact our supply chain

  • Consistently exceed factory outreach and qualification targets

  • Introduce new sourcing methods, platforms, or tools to strengthen our global manufacturing base

About You:
  • 1+ years of experience as an outbound focused Business or Sales Development Representative (or similar)

  • Strong & creative negotiation skills

  • Critical thinker and extremely data-driven: this is performance-based marketing not engagement/brand.

  • Minimum C1 level of English

  • Experience with a CRM like Hubspot, Salesforce, or Pipedrive

  • Experience with tools like Sales Navigator, Apollo, Salesloft, Cognism, etc.

💡The/Studio’s Company Values
  • Intellectually curious - possesses a natural disposition and comfort to ask questions, challenge the status quo, and a desire to ‘get to the bottom of things’ if they see something not quite right

  • Self-motivated with a meaningful reason to deliver excellence

  • Good communication skills that enhance collaboration, minimize misunderstandings, and at a frequency that is appropriate for a remote team

  • Radical candor - Coachable, accepting of constructive negative feedback and willing to provide constructive negative feedback where applicable

  • Operates with a level of urgency - values immediate action where prudent, enables quick decision-making, swift problem-solving, and seizing opportunities in a dynamic business environment

  • Natural customer centricity - has an affinity to always start their train of thought or analysis with the customer’s perspective, bias towards talking to the customer to understand them

  • Results-driven - focuses on achieving and exceeding measurable objectives

🔎 Our Typical Hiring Process
  1. Submit an application. IMPORTANT: Please submit your resume/CV in English

  2. Initial Chat with Global Recruiter
