The Senior Lease Analyst will analyze and interpret VF’s varying lease contracts and apply findings as appropriate to ensure contract adherence by VF and its contractual partners, with an emphasis on financial billing/payment compliance and contract-supported cost avoidance. The Senior Lease Analyst will be a go-to member of the Lease Analyst team, serving as a mentor to Lease Analysts by regularly fielding questions and providing trouble-shooting guidance. Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.

  • Accurately interpret, analyze and communicate details and contractual positions regarding key lease terms with particular focus on lease provisions affecting VF’s financial obligations.
  • Successfully apply financial lease terms in the administration of the following regular lease billing/payment activities:
  • Review monthly recurring rental costs and fixed rental escalations in comparison to lease payment requirements.
  • Review and processing of one-time invoices for reimbursable costs such as CAM, Real Estate Taxes, Insurance, utilities, etc.
  • Desktop audit and processing of operating expense (CAM, real estate tax, insurance, utilities, etc.) reconciliations and appropriate dispute of billing errors and/or non-reimbursable costs.
  • Perform monthly review and/r preparation of rental statements with proactive actions towards resolution of account discrepancies, payment misapplications, and billing disputes with goal of maintaining VF rental accounts in compliant standing.
  • Prioritize, research and resolve incoming default or other non-compliance notices while internally tracking associated actions and results with goal of protecting VF’s rights and contractual standing.
  • Process verified payment/credit obligations via the lease management system in accordance with designated procedures and timelines.
  • Track expense reconciliation requirements and statuses, including submission deadlines, backup requirements, review deadlines and audit opportunities.
  • Establish initial lease-related contacts and payment vendors in conjunction with Accounts Payable and subsequently maintain and update vendor credentials and contacts as required.
  • Partner with the North American Real Estate team to communicate cross-functional compliance needs, provide lease status updates as requested, complete estoppel reviews, process incoming tenant allowance payments, security deposit refunds, etc. and to field other requests as needed.
