Purpose of Role
Reporting to the Director, Business Development, the Business Development Representative role is responsible for driving Q4's customer acquisition by employing targeted prospecting through calls, emails, and social selling. Utilizing Salesforce and SalesLoft, the Business Development Representative qualifies leads, schedules meetings, and maintains active engagement with both new and existing leads. Responsibilities also include meticulous record-keeping in Salesforce, logging all prospect-related activities, and strategically prioritizing target account lists to maximize sales opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Generate net new customers for Q4 through prospecting and activity-based calling, emailing, and social selling
Qualify leads and schedule meetings using Salesforce and SalesLoft
Maintain active engagement with new and existing leads through creative follow-up communications designed to increase interest in Q4 products
Keep prospect account records up to date in Salesforce and log all activity and information on prospects
Create and prioritize strategic target account lists
Maintain organized data in Salesforce and SalesLoft
Generate outbound interest with new prospects utilizing cold calling, emailing, and LinkedIn
Partner with sales to maximize territory management and strategic campaigns
Education & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree desirable but not essential
Motivation, drive, and a self-starting attitude
Goal-oriented and a lifelong learner
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
Ability to understand customer pain points and provide consultative solutions
Ability to multitask, take initiative, prioritize, and manage time effectively to complete a high volume of outreach
Experience with Salesforce ideal
Experience with SalesLoft is helpful
Fluent in English
Some Capital Markets experience is helpful
Proficiency in German, Swiss, and/or Spanish is a bonus
