Job Summary:
The Supply Chain and Logistics Assistant Manager will support the Supply Chain and Logistics team in managing and optimising the supply chain processes. This role involves coordinating logistics, managing inventory, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods from suppliers to customers. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics Coordination: Assist in planning and coordinating logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize excess inventory.
Supplier Relations: Communicate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any issues that may arise.
Data Analysis: Analyse supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
Process Improvement: Support the implementation of process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
Reporting: Prepare and maintain reports on supply chain performance metrics.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Knowledge of supply chain management software and tools is a plus.
