Request for Proposal: Lighthouse Reports Partner Survey

Lighthouse Reports is an award-winning investigative newsroom working with some of the world’s leading media to deliver deeply reported, public interest investigations. We build newsrooms around topics and innovate new approaches to accountability journalism. We’ve co-published series and investigations with more than 150 partners around the world. We work across media formats from television and documentary to news and radio, podcasts, print and online.

We are seeking a Consultant to conduct a comprehensive survey with our investigation partners. 

Through this survey, we aim to: 

• Understand the nature of each partnership
• Understand the needs of different types of partners in a collaboration
• Improve communication practices in a collaboration 
• Improve editorial and administrative practices in a collaboration 
• Build lasting relationships with partners and establish Lighthouse Reports as the partner of choice in an investigative collaboration

The Consultant will:

• Refine a quantitative survey designed by Lighthouse Reports and map a strategy to optimise response 
• Based on this quantitative survey, design a qualitative survey to gather the most relevant feedback from Lighthouse Reports’ partners 
• Conduct the qualitative survey and collect the data 
• Analyse the survey results and create a detailed report on key insights
• Based on these insights, draw up recommendations to fulfil the objectives of Lighthouse Reports

• Proposed methodology for the survey
• Proposed timeline 
• Fee
