Job description

Join NDX National Dentex - a leading healthcare organization specializing in the dental industry. We offer a full spectrum of specialized products, services, and technologies to address any dental restoration need. Currently, we have 50+ labs throughout the country. Our team is growing, and we are hiring a number of key positions within our organization including this opportunity for a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst – Operations Finance. This is a remote position.  Prefers the candidate to be located in South Florida.

The regular hours for this position are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time.

Job Duties:

  1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the Business Intelligence and Analytics roadmap aligned with company goals. Identify opportunities to leverage data in driving key initiatives and innovation.
  2. Leadership & Strategy:
    1. Define and execute the BI and analytics strategy aligned with business goals, identifying key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for the business.
    2. Collaborate with senior leadership to understand business needs and provide data-driven insights that influence strategic decision-making.
    3. Stay current with emerging BI trends and technologies, and continuously evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and practices to improve the company’s analytics capabilities.
  3. Leadership & Team Management:
    1. Lead and mentor a high-performing team of analysts and BI professionals. Foster collaboration, innovation, and professional development.
    2. Provide guidance on best practices in data analysis, data visualization, and reporting.
    3. Foster a collaborative team environment, encouraging innovation, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning.
  4. Project & Resource Management:
    1. Manage analytics and data-related projects, ensuring timely delivery, alignment with business objectives, and resource optimization.
    2. Develop and manage project plans, ensuring clear milestones and performance metrics.
    3. Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure the smooth deployment and integration of data systems and tools.
  5. Project & Stakeholder Management:
    1. Lead key analytics projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet business requirements, delivered on time, and within budget.
    2. Work closely with IT teams to ensure that the data infrastructure and BI tools are scalable, reliable, and optimized for performance.
    3. Manage vendor relationships and ensure that external BI tools, platforms, or consultants are effectively leveraged.
  6. Business Partnering & Collaboration:
    1. Partner with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, finance, and operations to ensure analytics support their respective business objectives.
    2. Drive the adoption of self-service analytics tools across the business, empowering teams to make data-driven decisions independently.
    3. Lead regular data review meetings with stakeholders, presenting insights, metrics, and recommendations for improvements.
    4. Function as a trusted advisor on all things related to data and analytics, guiding teams and executives in making data-driven decisions.
  7. Tool Optimization: Evaluate, recommend, and implement BI tools and technologies to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  8. Data Governance: Ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
    1. Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and best practices.

 Skills Required:

  1. Leadership Skills:
  • Proven record of leading a team of analysts and BI professionals.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in BI tools (Power BI Required)
    • Advanced spreadsheet skills including pivot tables, sensitivity analysis, look-up functions, complicated formulas, importing/exporting data and creating and editing macros.
    • Experience with financial modeling and forecasting tools.
  • Analytical Skills: The ability to analyze and interpret complex data and convert it into digestible insights.
  • Business Acumen: A solid understanding of financial concepts, accounting principles, and how various metrics impact the overall performance of a business.
  • Communication Skills: The ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders who may not have a technical background.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring that financial data is accurate and comprehensive, which is critical in financial analysis.
  • Communication Skills:
    • Ability to translate complex business data into simple, actionable insights.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills to present findings to business leaders and stakeholders.

    • Ability to identify trends, anomalies, or inefficiencies in data and develop solutions to improve performance.

     Qualifications:

    • 7+ years of experience in data analytics, data science, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
      • Proven track record of leading analytics teams and driving business impact through data insights.
    • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with experience building high-performing teams.
    • Proficiency in Excel
    • Expertise in data modeling, ETL processes, and database management.
    • Experience with data integration tools and data warehousing concepts.
    • Experience working with ERP & Operational Systems
    • Experience with financial reporting and analysis to understand financial metrics and KPIs
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • Familiarity with data warehousing, big data technologies, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
    • Solid understanding of financial concepts, accounting principles, and performance metrics.
    • Proven experience in developing and executing data strategies that drive business value and performance.
    • Strong background in managing teams and delivering data-driven solutions at scale.
    • Soft Skills:
      • Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
      • Effective communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex data for non-technical audiences.
      • Proven ability to manage and mentor a diverse team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
