Job description

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager of Procurement Operations, a market leader in the manufacturing industry. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end procurement process, optimizing procurement strategies, and enhancing operational efficiencies across the supply chain. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement operations strategies that align with organizational goals and improve overall performance.
  • Oversee the procurement process, including sourcing, vendor selection, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
  • Lead and mentor a team of procurement analysts, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline procurement operations and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their procurement needs and ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods and services.
  • Monitor and analyze procurement metrics to evaluate supplier performance and operational efficiency.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure optimal pricing and terms.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements in all procurement activities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to inform procurement strategies.
  • Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies related to supplier performance and supply chain disruptions.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on procurement operations and performance initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • 8+ years of experience in procurement operations or supply chain management, with at least 4 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and technologies.
  • Proven track record of improving procurement processes and driving cost savings.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
