You'll oversee performance aligned with our organizational goals, while actively tracking, training, and hiring new talent in a dynamic environment. About The Team

The Business Development Team is a key driver of growth and success and this dynamic group of BDRs is dedicated to identifying new opportunities, engaging with prospective clients, and delivering impactful solutions tailored to their unique business needs. The team operates in a collaborative and results-driven environment, leveraging cutting-edge tools, proven strategies, and deep industry expertise to build meaningful client relationships and drive revenue growth.

What You Will Be Doing

Strategic Leadership:

- Develop and articulate a clear vision and direction for designated business segments, aligning with overall company objectives.

- Foster a collaborative environment by engaging with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and support for business goals.

Team Management & Development:

- Oversee the recruitment, training, and professional growth of Business Development Representatives (BDRs) to optimize performance and career advancement.

- Implement ongoing coaching and feedback mechanisms to enhance individual capabilities and drive team success.

Performance Monitoring:

- Set and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for BDRs, ensuring clear expectations and accountability for achieving quota targets.

- Analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to exceed business development metrics.

Stakeholder Engagement:

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand market needs and refine business strategies that promote growth and efficiency in assigned segments.

- Present insights and recommendations to senior management to influence decision-making and drive strategic initiatives.

Direct Leadership:

- Serve as a direct manager for a team of BDRs, fostering a culture of excellence and motivation to maximize sales output and engagement.

- Establish an open-door policy to encourage communication and collaboration, addressing any challenges faced by team members proactively.

To Be Successful in The Role, You Will Have

  • 2+ years of experience as a BDR manager or team lead
  • Proven ability to work with key stakeholders at client organizations and be able to recognize and analyze selling approaches, marketing programs, joint value propositions, and business cases around strategic partnerships
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to manage potentially difficult situations
  • Strong execution of strategic vision
  • Proven adaptability in dynamic environments
  • Disposition to be highly ambitious and goal oriented with a relentless work ethic
  • Leadership skills in order to develop and motivate the team
  • Knowledge of typical sales processes, metrics, and sales management techniques
  • Meticulous attention to metrics and analytics
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with a proven ability to lead teams
  • Excellent time management, decision making, and organization skills
  • Training in a major sales methodology such as (but not limited to) SPIN or Challenger Selling
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and Outreach platforms
  • Familiarity with a broad range of application and infrastructure software
  • Secondary education from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree business, marketing, communications, or a related field
