Job description

The Infrastructure Engineer III position is responsible for finding, designing, configuring, developing, and implementing software and hardware solutions. The Infrastructure Engineer III also contributes towards the implementation of a broad range of large enterprise infrastructure projects and should possess project management abilities.

Design, build, implement and maintain solutions to support operations using Linux and Wintel systems. Designs and builds environments include but not limited to fabric SAN, iSCSI SAN, Nutanix, VMWare ESX, Rack mount servers, and Server blades and Chassis.

Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes.

Document adjustments made to hardware and software as well as provide documentation for new systems, as needed.

Designs, builds, and implements solutions to support a Data Center environment for the recoverability of the primary data center.

Provides backup and assistance to team members.

Comply with validation requirements, standard-operating procedures (SOP), and change control maintenance for product life cycle.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

QualificationsBachelors Or Equivalent

5 - 7 Years

Experience in the area of IT infrastructure. At least five years of experience in an Engineer capacity in the areas of server design and build, VMware, and Nutanix.

Demonstrated experience working on server hardware, software, networking, virtualization, SAN, and technologies as stated in responsibilities.

Knowledge with Microsoft Networking, Cisco networks / routers, EMC storage, SQL databases, and SAP is a plus.

Knowledge of scripting languages for system automation and administration.
