Head of DevOps & MLOps

Position Type: Full-Time

Compensation: Up to PHP 315,000

The Head of DevOps & MLOps is a senior leadership role responsible for defining and driving the organization’s DevOps and MLOps strategy. This role oversees the governance, scalability, and performance of the CI/CD infrastructure and machine learning operations, ensuring alignment with overall business and technology goals. The ideal candidate will provide both strategic direction and hands-on leadership

Responsibilities:

  • Strategy and Governance
    • Define and implement the overarching DevOps and MLOps strategy.
    • Establish policies, frameworks, and best practices for CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and ML lifecycle management.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards in deployment pipelines.

  • Leadership and Decision-Making
    • Make high-level decisions on DevOps tools, platforms, automation, and resource allocation.
    • Drive strategic initiatives to improve infrastructure reliability, deployment speed, and operational efficiency.
    • Champion a DevOps culture of collaboration, automation, and continuous improvement.

  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Collaborate with executive leadership, engineering teams, data science, and other key stakeholders.
    • Communicate DevOps and MLOps strategies, performance metrics, risks, and project updates to leadership and cross-functional teams.
    • Align DevOps efforts with product and business priorities.

  • Team Leadership and Development
    • Lead and mentor DevOps and MLOps teams, fostering a high-performing, agile, and innovative environment.
    • Guide professional development and training in modern DevOps practices and tools.
    • Ensure proper staffing and capability building within the team.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in DevOps or related engineering roles, with 5+ years in a leadership capacity.
  • Deep knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and monitoring/logging tools.
  • Solid understanding of MLOps practices including model versioning, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
  • Familiarity with machine learning workflows, model serving, and model performance tracking tools.
  • Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Google Professional ML Engineer).

  • Background in Agile/Lean methodologies and experience implementing DevOps at scale.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • 2 rest days per week
  • 13th Month Pay
