Ascend is well positioned to register strong growth capitalizing on strong brand, latest laboratory technology infrastructure, and ample capacity. This Account Manager (CKD) will explore opportunities and avenues for new business in the CKD testing market Nationally.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for selling laboratory services for dialysis testing to Large Group Nephrology Practices, Value Based Kidney Care Organizations, and other potential partners in the CKD space
  • Establish, maintain, and strengthen client relationships at the appropriate levels
  • Generate and deliver qualified opportunities through cold calling, lead generation, networking, and strategic partnerships
  • Showcase Ascend Clinical’s capabilities to potential clients. Ability to differentiate Ascend Clinical from competitors
  • Create and evaluate quotations for services and provide input to ensure client and company requirements are met
  • Provide input on business plans for the market vision through desk research (legislation, market demand, trends and developments, competitor analysis)
  • Develops and executes account plans specific to the CKD market
  • Maintain face-to-face contact with customers and develop multi-level and cross-functional relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders
  • Manage opportunities and provide accurate pipeline forecasting.
  • Collaborates effectively with Ascend leadership to bring potential opportunities to their attention and to identify and win projects. Provides cross-functional support to other departments as required
  • Owns the accountability and responsibility of delivering to client needs and timeliness

Qualifications:
  • Understanding and knowledge of the renal marketplace including CKD and dialysis
  • Strong business acumen, including understanding customer needs and the ability to communicate market dynamics clearly and concisely to prospective clients
  • Ability to clearly engage on the benefits of Ascend’s laboratory fit
  • 5+ years sales/account management experience required. Renal and/or lab sales experience preferred
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
  • Ability to travel 30% of the time for client meetings, trade shows, industry meetings, and events
  • Competent computer skills, including MS Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated effective negotiation skills
  • Detail oriented, critical and analytical thinking skills, and problem-solving skills

Compensation:

- $130,000-$200,000 OTE
