Job description

Reporting to the Senior Director, Account Management, the SMB Account Manager, Advocacy is a self-driven, results-oriented, sales professional with a positive outlook able to grow and develop relationships and support our clients as they leverage our suite of products. Our clients are small and medium sized nonprofits​situated in North America.


If you have excellent Relationship Development skills, strong research and communication skills, and experience in the Nonprofit market, we would like to talk. Two years Sales experience selling software is a must; experience in upselling and cross selling or client adoption and growth is a plus. If you are an experienced B2B Sales Solutions professional with experience selling into the Nonprofit space, we would like to talk to you.


Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact and business partner for the dedicated book of Altrata’s clients via in-person and video meetings, phone, and/or email
  • Achieve retention and sales goals measured monthly and quarterly while providing excellent client support
  • Develop and own the retention strategy; define growth goals and execution plans to increase engagement and footprint with clients and anticipate future needs
  • Assist new and current users in adopting the solutions purchased and conduct account management support sessions designed to meet the individual business needs of each client
  • Conduct formal business reviews with each client designed to measure renewal probability, and client satisfaction and to provide continual product education
  • Serve as an advocate for your clients by analyzing customer health and usage data to identify trends and opportunities to improve adoption and potential cross-sell opportunities
  • Efficiently and thoroughly manage your pipeline and oversee the renewal and upgrade process with each assigned account
  • Work continuously to document the details of each client interaction in Salesforce in order to improve the customer information and drive retention
  • Participate in weekly and monthly meetings to share learnings, and success stories and to improve processes
  • Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors



Required Qualifications:

  • Two years of account management experience in the software/SaaS/DaaS space, selling to Nonprofits
  • ​Proven ability to upsell, develop and retain accounts
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Good listener with the ability to address client needs
  • Exemplary presentation skills; comfortable engaging a diverse array of clients
  • Possessing strong negotiation skills, persistence and resiliency



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Self-motivated with demonstrated success based on previous performance
  • Effective, collaborative, consultative, and excited to connect the needs of our clients with our capabilities
  • Motivated by the desire to constantly learn in a changing environment and actively contribute to a dynamic team structure
  • A natural forward planner who critically assesses own performance
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Salesforce CRM
  • Knowledge of the MS Office Suite including Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Experience or knowledge of development and fundraising efforts or software in the nonprofit space
