Angels of Care Pediatric Home Healthis looking for a Manager of Regulatory and Government Affairs.

The Manager of Regulatory and Government Affairs (Manager) plays a key role for supporting from within Angels of Care (AOC) Government Affairs function. Reporting to the Director of Government Affairs and Advocacy, the Manager will focus on ensuring all pertinent state agencies, managed care organizations and other related sources, are set-up to notify the designated mailbox, of changes in the practice or regulation, or notices. The Manager will foster relationships with state associations, regulatory agencies, managed care organizations and other related sources to advocate for the agency’s interests in all the states served. The Manager will collaborate with internal teams to assess and implement strategies to mitigate regulatory risks.  
Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in implementing the organization’s government relations and advocacy strategies at the state and federal levels.  

  • Monitor and research regulatory developments at the federal and state level that impact the organization. 

  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. 

  • Serve as a liaison between the company, managed care organizations, and state agencies, advocating for company interests. 

  • Prepare reports, position papers, and presentations on regulatory issues for internal and external stakeholders. 

  • Collaborate with the compliance department to assess regulatory risks and develop action plans.
     
  • Assist in drafting comments on proposed regulations and policy initiatives. 

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, policies, and regulatory changes. 

  • Represent the organization in both in person and virtual state agency and MCO meetings, hearings, and industry events related to government affairs and regulatory matters. 

  • Provide guidance and training to internal teams on regulatory issues and requirements for both state and federally. 

  • Achieves goals and performs all other duties as assigned by the Director of Government Affairs and Advocacy. 
  
Qualifications & Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. 

  • 3-5 years of experience in regulatory affairs, government relations, public policy, or a related field. 
  • Strong understanding of legislative process and a deep understanding of federal and state regulations governing Medicaid pediatric home health services. 

  • Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills. 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly. 
  • Experience working with government agencies, managed care organizations, and/or trade associations. 

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating a team-oriented attitude working across departments.  

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with regulatory tracking tools.
