Area Sales Representative

Job Title: Area Sales Representative

Location: Home-Based, with travel across the designated territory

Reporting To: Sales Manager

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30 (additional hours as required)

Main Responsibilities:

Ponsse UK LTD are looking for a self-motivated and driven salesperson to cover Scotland

specialising in the sales of Cut to Length forestry equipment. 

  • Brand Promotion: Represent and promote Ponsse and its products within the forestry industry. Wear issued corporate clothing.
  • Customer Interaction: Answer phone calls and greet visitors politely.
  • Corporate Representation: Maintain a tidy appearance as the public face of Ponsse UK Ltd.
  • Enquiry Management: Follow up on and generate enquiries for Ponsse products and services.
  • Customer Engagement: Create call plans and reports for regular face-to-face contact with customers.
  • Travel Requirements: Be prepared to travel and stay overnight for effective customer contact.
  • Flexibility: Adapt working hours as needed to fulfill role requirements.
  • Target Achievement: Strive to meet and exceed targets and budgets.
  • Event Participation: Set up and attend shows, events, and roadshows.
  • Product Demonstration: Organize demonstrations of Ponsse products.
  • Order Processing: Handle received orders from customers.
  • Used Machinery Marketing: Market used forestry machinery received against new deals.
  • Inspection and Documentation: Inspect used machines and create job sheets.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain records as required by the department.
  • Safety Compliance: Work safely and maintain a tidy workplace, adhering to company and site rules, procedures, and policies.
  • Team Collaboration: Follow the One Ponsse principles and support colleagues within the department.
  • Training: Undertake required training to effectively carry out the role.
  • Incident Reporting: Cooperate with management during investigations and report any incidents or near misses
