Position: People Operations Coordinator
Location: Remote - Candidates must live in CO / IL / MD / VA
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm
Compensation: $20-22 Per Hour + Benefits
Position Overview:
The People Operations Coordinator will be responsible for managing and compliance programs, conducting regular audits, and providing training to staff to promote a culture of compliance. This role will be responsible for overseeing adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies across HR administration and compliance. It requires strong analytical skills, thorough knowledge of regulatory standards, and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a background in people operations, compliance, legal, or a related field, and a proven track record of managing HR compliance within a healthcare or similar environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Partner with the Talent Acquisition and Training teams to support new hires with all necessary background checks and required documentation prior to their fist day of employment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation; support all internal and external audits as necessary.
- Conduct regular audits of HR processes and practices to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Responsible for assisting in the oversight of the development, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of all processes and control systems related to achieving and maintaining Joint Commission standards compliance
People Strategy Development and Implementation:
- Assist in the development and implementation of People strategies and initiatives that support business goals.
- Coordinates with Leadership Team to address and resolve operational issues as they arise using quality improvement practices and data driven problem solving methods to improve, develop and maintain systems and procedures. This includes the implementation of a robust monitoring system as well as a data collection system for ongoing performance oversight of all Joint Commission standards.
- Support all areas of the People & Empowerment department as needed, including but not limited to
- Stay abreast of HR trends and best practices to continuously improve HR operations and services.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Degree or GED is required
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or equivalent experience.
- Human Resources certification (SHRM-CP / PHR) is preferred
- Proven expertise in managing HR processes, policies, and systems in a healthcare setting
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in HRIS and other HR software systems (Paycom experience preferred)
