Job description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and self-sufficient Probate Paralegal with extensive experience working in U.S.-based law firms, specifically in the areas of Probate and Guardianship with some experience in Estate Planning (Wills and Trusts). The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing a caseload independently while working closely with attorneys and clients. Strong experience in probate and guardianship matters is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and review probate pleadings, guardianship petitions, and related legal documents

  • Manage probate and guardianship cases from intake through closing

  • Communicate with clients, courts, and third parties

  • Assist with estate planning, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney

  • Monitor deadlines and maintain case calendars

  • Conduct legal research and compile supporting documentation

  • Organize and maintain case files and records

  • Support attorneys in preparing for hearings and trials, if necessary

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal in a U.S.-based law firm

  • Strong knowledge of probate and guardianship legal processes

  • Law degree from your home country

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented

  • Experience with case management software (Clio, MyCase, or similar)
