About the role

 

Roar Apex is seeking a driven and strategic Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with key decision-makers, and crafting strategies to grow our client base. This position is ideal for a proactive, results-oriented professional with a strong understanding of outbound sales strategies, automation tools, and AI-powered solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the entire business development lifecycle—from lead generation to closing.
  • Identify and pursue new client opportunities via outbound outreach, networking, and strategic partnerships.
  • Utilize tools like Clay, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and AI-based platforms to optimize business development workflows.
  • Drive meetings with senior decision-makers and tailor solutions that align with their business goals.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (sales, marketing, and delivery teams) to align efforts and maximize deal success.
  • Analyze market trends and customer data to develop scalable business development strategies.
  • Run A/B testing campaigns for messaging and outreach formats, leveraging automation wherever possible.
  • Implement lead nurturing campaigns using platforms like Beehive or ConvertKit.
  • Monitor key performance metrics and use insights to improve business development outcomes.
  • Operate with autonomy and initiative in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a growth-focused role.
  • Strong knowledge of sales automation tools such as Clay, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and AI outreach platforms.
  • Ability to build and manage a pipeline of qualified leads and move them through the sales funnel effectively.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered cold-calling or voice-AI tools is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a knack for building lasting client relationships.
  • Analytical mindset with a data-first approach to campaign optimization and reporting.
  • Comfortable using tools and automating workflows to enhance efficiency and scalability.
