Job description

Position Summary:

We are looking for a proactive Social Media Coordinator to help create and coordinate our social media posting across many social media marketing channels. This role is suited for a digital marketing professional with a strong foundation in social media who understands the concept of campaigns, content planning, and community engagement.

The ideal candidate will bring an understanding of digital trends and the purpose of our activities to grow our brand. You will work cross-functionally with our marketing team to drive engagement and grow our audience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Digital Media Strategy:

  • Help implement our social media strategy.
  • Understanding KPI’s and be able to interpret them as they relate to growing our brand audience.
  • Identify new channels to embed our brand that align with our marketing goals
  • Glean insights from social data using monitoring tools
  • Help develop and execute our posting schedule

2. Market Research:

  • Stay up to date with changes in all social platforms ensuring maximum effectiveness.
  • Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization.
  • Keep abreast of the latest social media best practices and technologies.

3. Content Creation:

  • Work with marketing team to help create informative, appealing and engaging content.
  • Comfortable writing engaging, on-brand copy.
  • Create basic posts

4. Time Management & Reporting:

  • Keep track of social media posting performance statistics
  • Monitor engagement level and identify possible business targets
  • Provide updates to leadership regarding current and potential trends/opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or related field preferred but not required.
  • 1–2 years minimum of relevant experience in social media or digital marketing
  • Basic understanding of major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn).
  • Familiarity with tools like Canva, Figma. Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization.
  • Interest in analytics and learning how to improve content performance.
