We are seeking an Associate Director, Social Media to join our growing Activation team.

The ideal candidate will manage and drive day-to-day social strategy, content, and channel planning work to evolve our clients’ approach to reaching and breaking through with key health audiences. You’ll be at the heart of client relationships and collaborate with Real Chemistry’s teams across paid media, creative, integrated communications/PR, medical affairs and analytics, as well as partner agencies.

What You’ll Do

  • Be a Trusted Advisor: To your clients, colleagues, and teams. Whether it’s contributing to a new platform POV or helping with social media issues management, you educate teams on the nuances and implications of decisions before they’re carried out on social.
  • Social Strategy, Content & Channel Management: Take the lead on building “first in class” social strategies and creative content plans that amplify the unique opportunities for each client. Oversee and support coordination of feedback between clients and account teams. Be a steward of content timelines and review processes to ensure timely and efficient approvals. Serve as reviewer/approver on social publishing and community management to ensure flawless overall management of client’s channels.
  • Team Mentorship & Oversight: Cultivate growth of Associates and Managers on the social team through strategic counsel, coaching, and mentorship.
  • Results & Measurement-Oriented Thinking: Partner with our in-house measurement team of data scientists and analysts to determine KPIs for campaigns, provide campaign insights, drive results, enhance performance and inform future content strategy.
  • Innovate on the Tried-and-True: Identify new areas/opportunities for social and develop/maintain relationships with social platform representatives to keep your finger on the pulse of what’s to come. Brainstorm, conceptualize and present new social media and digital programs/plans for the client rooted in a combination of business objectives, audience insights, and platform expertise.
  • Maintain and Evolve Social Platform Expertise: Counsel clients and internal teams on best practices for overall social strategy, displaying an in-depth understanding of the functionality, formats, and emerging trends in platforms and paid social content across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snapchat, YouTube, etc. Strong understanding of the nuances of organic and paid efforts on social channels.

What You Should Have

  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience, ideally in health, biotech or pharmaceutical social media
  • Demonstrated understanding of the intricacies and implications of executing organic and paid social media content across a variety of channels, including but not limited to Facebook, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest etc., with the ability to develop and present strategic social plans that best meet client objectives
  • Highly organized, mindful of deadlines, able to multi-task and proactively deliver high quality work under limited supervision
  • Demonstrated experience using social monitoring and other measurement platforms; strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Client service experience, preferably in an agency environment; experience collaborating effectively internally and externally as part of an integrated team
  • Proven success managing and mentoring junior team members
  • Understanding of the FDA and FTC regulations guiding social media efforts for biotech and pharma clients
  • Ability to grow social media business (with current social, PR or marketing clients) and participate in occasional new business pitches

Pay Range: $ 94,000.00 - $115,000.00

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location.
