We are seeking a Director of Supply Chain to join our team and help provide exceptional customer service to the homeowners who trust Powur with their solar install.

 

The Director of Supply Chain will work to establish partnerships internally and externally that meet and exceed revenue, production, and customer satisfaction goals. The right candidate has extensive experience developing strategic vision of supply chain and distribution of services. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and communicate a supply chain vision, strategic direction, and resource requirements sufficient to deliver required and/or forecast installations.

  • Lead continuous improvement culture throughout the department and supervise the team of supply chain and procurement employees.

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of supply chain including procurement, planning, and supplier relationships

  • Set departmental goals and objectives aligned with business strategy

  • Assist in the development and enhancement of existing planning and procurement processes and procedures to ensure the organization has the proper controls and visibility into business processes and expenditures.

  • Establish, maintain and optimize a diversified distributor strategy to ensure the best service levels/lead times nationwide.

  • Develop business relationships & negotiate with key suppliers and manufacturers to ensure long term strategic alignment and value at the best possible prices.

  • Help drive down direct equipment costs through ongoing analysis and alternative supply/supplier relationships.

  • Handle/remedy situations in which suppliers are not meeting expectations.

  • Ensure high-quality order fulfillment and accountability from original suppliers and logistics partners.

  • Work closely with FP&A/Accounting department and distribution partners to ensure proper product forecasting to meet installation goals and prevent discrepancies.

  • Monitor category & market conditions and identify supply/demand challenges and opportunities.

  • Serve as the primary contact for supply chain & vendor related inquiries, including supply agreements, training, policy and procedure interpretation and alignment by all departments.

  • Create and enhance reporting and dashboards that can be utilized by operational teams when making purchasing and planning decisions.

 

 

Qualifications & Attributes:

  • REQUIRED: Seasoned operational executive role at a national leading solar company with a track record of demonstrated success.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Additional certifications in the field of procurement and supply chain desired. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Possesses strong negotiation and analytical skills.

  • Possesses strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Positive, fun and winning attitude to get things done!

  • Proven track record of remote working, Self-motivated independent worker.

  • Great team player.

  • Ability to multitask and operate in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to thrive in a cross-functional team environment.

  • Experience with productivity software e.g. MS Office Suite, Adobe Suite, and/or GSuite.

  • Experience with CRM or project management systems such as Zoho, MS Dynamics, Salesforce, Hubspot, Podio, etc.

  • Experience with Business Intelligence software such as Tableau or Power BI, etc.

  • Must be a strategic thinker with confidence and speed in execution.

  • A passion for solar and helping homeowners go green! 

  • Acts like an owner and takes initiative outside normal working hours when required.

  • Problem-solving skills are a must.

  • Ability to research & resolve issues with supplier & distribution partners.

  • Ability to work tactically and strategically to implement long term plans and complete short-term goals.

  • Four-year college degree in a related field is required, or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.


Compensation & Benefits:


  • $120k to $150k depending on experience
