As a Business Development Manager – HIS at Solventum, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. You will assume and execute on a fundamental role in helping us achieve our new client acquisition and business growth objectives by leading business development efforts for HIS in India.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and analyse health financing (insurance) landscape in India and establish the foundation for case-mix/DRG (Diagnosis Related Groups), outcomes measures and population health measures and related technology solutions and services in India.
- Understand hospital medical coding status and conduct workshops for improvement in coding quality; deliver Case-Mix education workshops for government and private sector stakeholders; and execute DRG, and associated methodologies and technology, pilot projects with various entities.
- Lead/participate in opportunity assessment, qualification, developing response strategy for proposals, process improvement, competitive positioning, and pricing / commercial decisions.
- Technical, analytical and consulting solutioning for business problems and building impactful client presentations and pitches, using consulting framework as a part of bid process.
- Create and own different Point of View documents and solution proposals for various business problems across the Healthcare industry value chain.
- Responsible for demonstrating business value from the proposed solutions that help meet strategic, operational, and tactical objectives.
- Demonstrate the path for conducting, completing and scaling pilot/POC projects and programs to a long-term transformative program(s) to deliver continuous business value.
- Present Solventum's capabilities and create high impact presentations, proposals and business cases to clients and prospects to support sales cycle and successfully closed contracts.
- Well-versed in speaking and presenting to MOH and government leaders, client and partner C-Level and Director Level audiences and engaging various client stakeholders during the sales cycle and throughout the delivery of solutions and services programs.
- Work collaboratively with Solventum cross-functional departments and leaders in APAC and globally.
- Serve as a business representative at industry and Solventum conferences, tradeshows and events.
- Understand and comply with corporate/location policies and procedures.
Your Skills and Expertise:
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Graduate/Post Graduate degree from an accredited institution. Preferably a MBBS with specialization in health economics/health finance.
- AND eight (8)+ years of experience in technology, analytics, and consulting primarily within the Healthcare industry value chain
- AND five (5) years of business development experience in healthcare to providers, insurers, MOH and state/local healthcare agencies/organisations
- AND two (2) years of healthcare consulting experience focusing in health economics/ health finance and healthcare technology to providers, insurers, MOH and state healthcare agencies/organisations
In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:
- Demonstrated experience in conceptualizing, designing, selling and delivering transformation solutions with a significant component of data, analytics and consulting in the Healthcare industry value chain.
- Ability to work with a global team, playing a lead role in communicating client business problem context to the remote teams.
- Collaborating with business, clinical and economic research, and technical teams in consultative solution creation and delivery to current and prospective customers.
- Ability to influence executives and business decision makers through industry focused thought leadership.
- Understanding of and relationship among clinical documentation, medical record coding, healthcare billing, insurance and revenue cycle management.
- Understanding of medical coding standards and practices.
- Basic understanding of various Health-IT Terminologies.
- Knowledge and understanding of ‘Value based case’ and outcomes measurement in healthcare domain.
- Experience with and understanding of health information applications (PAS, EHR, EMR, Encoder, CAC/CDI, etc).
- Excellent verbal, communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
