We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to become a key member of our ASR Data team. This individual will provide project management and coordination support to engineering counterparts in the R&D department at SoundHound AI, ensuring both timely delivery and thoughtful implementation of new technology, features, and frameworks from a data perspective. This role is focused on data request management, including tracking & reporting, triage, scoping (and facilitation of related discussions), dataset assignment, quality assurance, contractor support & communication, successful delivery to engineers, and iterative optimization based on ongoing collection of feedback.

Responsibilities
  • Provide project management support for internal data and engineering projects and interface with external vendors and contractors
  • Work with engineering teams to scope data requests, determine resource requirements, and define milestones & timelines 
  • Maintain communication with external contractors regarding active data project priorities, requirements, and deadlines
  • Recruit and onboard external contractors according to established targets and guidelines, ensuring requirements are consistently met
  • Manage project meetings and documentation using Jira, Confluence, and Google products
  • Maintain ongoing status updates and regular communication with management
  • Create, contribute to, and/or utilize existing systems for prioritization, dependency, and risk management
  • Initiate and facilitate ongoing collection of input from management, the project team, and relevant engineering counterparts
  • Adopt, create, or contribute to new tools and processes, establish and maintain metrics and operational best practices
  • Collaborate effectively and continually work to set expectations and improve project visibility
  • Foster a culture of productivity and professionalism, motivating the project team and promoting best practices
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years experience and demonstrable success defining and/or managing the complete project lifecycle
  • Proficient with Atlassian and Google products and can successfully implement all aspects of agile
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A skilled problem solver with a good understanding of systems 
  • Able to successfully navigate ambiguity and manage change in aspects of cross-team projects, including resources, priorities, risks, and dependencies
  • Exercise extreme attention to detail and can break down ambiguous requests or tasks
  • Work independently and know when to follow escalation paths
  • Dedicated, reliable, and consistent with follow-through
  • Remote work experience and familiarity with machine learning and/or linguistic concepts
  • Familiar with and/or speak multiple languages fluently. 

This role is available remotely throughout Canada. The estimated salary for this position is $66,000 - $78,000 CAD plus equity. In addition to salary and equity, you will receive comprehensive healthcare, paid time off, and other benefits. Our recruiting team will provide a specific salary range based on location and years of experience.
