Job description

This is a remote position.

40 hours a week

Mon - Fri 9 AM- 5:30 PM Florida time, includes 30-minute unpaid break.


Job Description: Assistant Bookkeeper

Scope

  • 40 hours/week
  • Remote work, following US business hours
  • Direct collaboration with internal teams including sales and warehouse staff
  • Handling sensitive financial information with strict confidentiality
  • Potential for long-term growth within the company

Responsibilities

  • Process invoices using QuickBooks Desktop for customer orders based on warehouse information
  • Generate shipping labels using UPS or FedEx software
  • Prepare and send orders with packing slips to the warehouse
  • Manage accounts receivable tasks, including sending customer statements and ensuring timely payments
  • Potentially assist with accounts payable processes
  • Collaborate with sales team and warehouse staff to ensure accurate order processing
  • Maintain meticulous financial records and assist in financial reporting
  • Adapt to and learn new software systems as needed for shipping and logistics


Requirements


  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop, particularly for invoicing and accounts receivable
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Familiarity with UPS WorldShip or FedEx software (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Experience in the textile or import-export industry (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new software and processes
