The expected salary range for this position is $120,230.00 - $150,280.00. Employees in specific high cost of labor locations in the United States (such as San Francisco, CA and Seattle, WA) may qualify for a geographic differential. This technical product owner is a contributing member of the Agile development team that defines, plans and accepts the work that is done by the technical team members. The product owner further coordinates with product management to identify features and user stories while prioritizing into Sprints. At this career level, she or he generally works independently on moderately complex Agile events or as a team member on larger projects. He or she may coach other product owners.

Acts as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. Understands Christ’s mandate to protect children. Commits to and prioritizes child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry. Reports any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassion’s internal reporting process and appropriately supports responses to incidents if they occur.

Coordinates with product management to prioritize and understand the backlog going into the program increment planning event. Breaks down features provided by the product manager into user stories.
Serves as a content resource for all user stories and associated acceptance criteria.
Works as part of a team with managing a particular process from end to end.
Works as a part of a team for improvement and implements solutions by understanding the value of telemetry and performance metrics.
Participates in sprint planning process and priority setting. Attends agile development team participating in daily stand-ups, system demos, sprint planning, program increment planning and other meetings as required.
Refines team backlog, ensuring that there is adequate detail (just in time elaboration) to prioritize and sequence work.
Accepts stories as done ensuring that the product meets quality standards. Actively contributes to team demos and retrospectives.
Coordinates with product managers to address cross team dependencies and impacts.
Coordinates between Agile Team, Release Advisor and Product Manager to carry out Change management activities for new feature/product releases: End user communications, training plans, and deployment schedules.
May provide expertise to other professionals and support staff in the product ownership discipline.
Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
1-3 years relevant experience working in this or a related field and/or equivalent education, training and/or certification
