Job description

Role summary:

As the Product Owner you will be responsible for working with customers to understand their business needs, refining and prioritizing the product backlog to ensure those needs are met, and helping drive the overall direction of the product. Your objective will be to maximize product value.

Key duties:
  • Utilize strong communication and influencing skills with internal stakeholders and customers to develop product roadmaps and ensure the product direction supports business objectives

  • Liaise with business stakeholders, sales representatives and technical development teams to communicate product vision and goals

  • Gather, analyze and document complex business requirements and translate them into clear and concise technical specifications

  • Ensure that development teams are working on the most important product features

  • Participate in backlog management activities: prioritization, technical refinement, iteration planning, and breaking down epics into manageable user stories

  • Define acceptance criteria and manage story acceptance

  • Communicate progress and status to stakeholders and customers, and escalate risks as needed

  • Conduct internal and external product trainings and support customer implementations

  • Build expertise in the sanction screening and financial crime surveillance domains.


Requirements:
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in technical product ownership

  • 3+ years of experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies

  • Experience in working with software development teams

  • Experience building product roadmaps and working in roadmap and requirements management systems such as Aha, Jira or Azure

  • Experience with sanctions screening or AML transaction monitoring preferred.
