JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Director to collaborate closely with the Global Controller, focusing on the day to day financial accounting and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of IFRS principles and extensive experience managing a global month end close process, is not afraid to dig into the numbers and process entries as needed, has a proven track record in a Big 4 audit firm and 10+ years of post- qualification experience.
This role requires excellent analytical and communication skills, along with the ability to manage complex accounting topics and engage effectively with relevant stakeholders across the business. The Director of Accounting will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with IFRS standards, and the effective execution of strategic financial initiatives.
The Director of Accounting will report directly to the Global Controller.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
End to end management of the global accounting close process including ownership of the monthly consolidated income statement, balance sheet, and cashflow statement.
Manage the IFRS 15 revenue recognition process in conjunction with the senior revenue accountant.
Act as the primary liaison with auditors for the global consolidated audit.
Ensure compliance with IFRS principles, internal controls, and monitoring activities related to the accounting close process.
Manage the global balance sheet reconciliation completion and review process.
Oversee error-free accounting entries and assist in preparing accounting policy documentation to enhance internal controls.
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders on key business transactions, including debt financing, R&D capitalization, commission reporting, and revenue recognition.
Management of the R&D capitalization process with overseas subsidiaries in Israel and China.
Manage the global intercompany matrix and reconciliation process.
Drive improvements to accounting systems, procedures, and department goal-setting processes.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Strong knowledge of IFRS 15 for Revenue Recognition.
Professional qualification in IFRS (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or equivalent).
10+ years of experience, ideally within a Big 4 audit firm or in a senior financial reporting role.
Exceptional analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working across departments and with external stakeholders.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
Experience in managing internal controls and compliance monitoring.
Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems.
