Description

Join our team as a Loan and Program Outreach Specialist! We're seeking two specialists—one for North Texas and one for South Texas—to support our Consumer Loan Program. In this role, you’ll serve as a key link between contractors, borrowers, and our organization, managing various aspects of our residential loan program including contractor recruitment, loan application processing, and conducting targeted outreach efforts to expand the program’s impact.

Working remotely from your region, you’ll regularly travel to engage with contractors and community partners, requiring both Spanish and English fluency. This position combines administrative precision with a proactive approach to community engagement, requiring strong attention to detail, project management, and a commitment to advancing clean energy accessibility.

About Us:

Clean Energy Fund of Texas (CEFTX), established as Texas's first non-profit green bank, focuses on enabling and supporting financially responsible investments in energy efficiency, wind, and solar power to make clean energy accessible and affordable for all Texans. Our initiatives are designed to drive energy security and economic development, especially in historically underserved communities, by promoting sustainability and equity. Through innovative financing solutions and partnerships, we empower individuals and businesses to participate in the clean energy transition.

Key items you’ll be responsible for

Contractor Recruitment and Engagement

  • Identify, recruit, and maintain relationships with contractors for CEFTX’s approved contractor list for residential and commercial green projects
  • Organize and host workshops, webinars, or in-person events to educate contractors regarding CEFTX programs and processes within a designated region
  • Ensure contractor compliance through ongoing engagement and support

Loan Application Management

  • Manage loan applications from submission to closing, ensuring compliance with guidelines and accuracy in documentation
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for contractors and borrowers, delivering guidance throughout the loan process
  • Maintain accurate records of loan application progress and provide timely updates to all stakeholders

Outreach and Community Engagement

  • Collaborate with the Business Development Manager and other CEFTX leaders to increase awareness of clean energy solutions in your region
  • Build partnerships with community organizations, businesses, and government agencies
  • Represent CEFTX at community events, conferences, and meetings to build trust and promote initiatives

Reporting and Compliance

  • Maintain accurate records of contractor participation and loan application progress
  • Provide regular updates to the Business Development Manager on metrics and loan pipeline status

Core Qualifications

  • Proven experience (2+ years) in loan processing, account management, contractor relations, or related fields
  • Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with CRM systems
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders
  • Fluency in Spanish (written and verbal)
  • Reliable transportation to travel across the region three days per week
  • Passion for clean energy and a commitment to advancing sustainability and environmental stewardship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in business, Finance, Environmental Studies, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Knowledge of green building practices and sustainability initiatives
  • Understanding of loan regulations
  • Experience with Salesforce (CRM)
