Zero trust network
Scope:
The resources will plan, implement, and provide support for the Cisco Secure Workload solution (CSW). CSW plays a vital role in a Zero Trust Network project by helping to ensure the security of workloads through micro segmentation and policy enforcement across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
Duties:
The two resources will be involved in the planning, implementation and support of the Cisco secure workload infrastructure.
The candidate will be responsible for implementing, modernizing, managing and supporting our network infrastructure, along with proactive monitoring, analysis and reporting.
Achieve a high availability IT network infrastructure and IT network services, in accordance with the government of Alberta, Technology Services, and Service Level Agreements.
Hands-on implementation, upgrading, trouble-shooting of network software and hardware infrastructure.
Manage and prioritize workload. Check and balance the workload against the team requirements, to result in a service delivery model characterized by cross-training, workload sharing and collaborative team effort.
Effective teamwork and proficient communication with team members and supported ministries.
Lead and/or participate in networking projects, and plan, design, implement, support and document best practices.
Participate and contribute to cross-function it projects by providing technical it networking know-how and expertise.
Perform problem diagnosis, troubleshooting and resolution.
Plan for software and hardware upgrades and/or migrations.
Develop and maintain documentation.
Develop network related procedures.
Provide cross training and knowledge transfer to team members.
